Preparing Court Bundles
We have over three decades experience when it comes to preparing court bundles for child care work but we follow the rules and regulations about specific requirements, particularly relating to Practice Direction 27A – Family Proceedings.
Time Estimates
Although time estimates and deadlines can alter, we are aware of how important it is for our company to give an accurate and updated account of how well the processing of any documentation is proceeding in order to meet time estimates and deadlines.
Presentation to Court
Bundles of documents to present to Court are extremely important and can help to make a case go well, or not so well. Judges, Magistrates, Tribunal Panels, and Legal Representatives in all capacities, need to find things quickly so that they can get a rapid overview of the contents and are able to refer to its contents easily.
The reader is aware, I am sure, that if a court bundle is completed with accuracy, and a good detailed Index which is presented to a very high standard, then this will reflect well on the law and content within. Court bundles bring all the aspects, and all the hard work, of any Case to a level of completion and we take great pride in carrying this out to the highest standards and required deadlines.
Family Proceedings
In family proceedings, there are set rules and guidelines with regards to the preparation and delivery of court bundles.
A bundle, for the use of the Court at the hearing, shall be provided by the party in the position of applicant at the hearing (or, if there are cross-applications, by the party whose application was first in time) or if that person is a litigant in person, by the first listed respondent who is not a litigant in person.
Where all the parties are litigants in person, none of them shall, unless the Court otherwise directs, be obliged to provide a bundle. Any bundle which they choose to lodge must be prepared and lodged so as to comply with this practice direction. The party preparing the bundle shall paginate it using Arabic numbering throughout. If possible, the contents of the bundle shall be agreed by all parties.
Intention
Our company wish to produce well prepared and presented documents within court bundles so we would hope that reasonable time scales are given with regards to this by clients. Flexibility is important to us, but this has to be negotiable in order to be as constructive as possible with respect for the bundle that is being achieved.
